BIOGRAPHY:
Power forward Hanno Möttölä was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 2000, earning the distinction of being the first Finnish player to compete in the NBA. Hanno retired from basketball in 2008 but returned to the game in his home country, where he now plays for Torpan Pojat.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
First Native of Finland to play in a regular-season NBA game
Started first three games of 2000-2001 season as a rookie
Ranks 14 all-time at University of Utah with 1,492 points
Holds Finnish National Team record for most points in one game
